Damien Chazelle's 'La La Land' picked up another major prize on the road to the Oscars. The contemporary musical starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling as young lovers trying to make it in Hollywood won best movie of the year at the 21st Capri Hollywood Film Festival.
Iranian film 'Daughter' by Reza Mirkarimi won big at the closing ceremony of the 47th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, India, taking home the prize in the best film and best actor (male) categories. Competing Indian films lost out in all categories at IFFI.
Iranian drama 'The Salesman' by Oscar winning director Asghar Farhadi, about a couple putting on 'Death of a Salesman', won the best foreign language film award of the National Board of Review which has a track record as a predictor of future Oscar glory.
