Spokesman of the Parliament's Energy Committee Asadollah Qareh Khani told Shana that the Oil Ministry should prioritize attraction of foreign finances to fund petrochemical projects in the year to March 2019.
Drawing foreign investors to petroleum projects, especially those concerning the development of joint oil and gas fields, must be among the priorities of the Oil Ministry, the lawmaker said.
Moreover, inviting oil and petrochemical majors into projects in the industry must be further pursued, he underlined.
"Iran's gas production is currently at its best, so we should use this capacity to export the item while helping to increase the export of petrochemical products," Qareh Khani said.
