Delay in Muscat-Mashhad flight due to low visibility: Iran official

A flight from Muscat, Oman, to Mashhad, northeastern Iran, will land in Yazd in center of the country due to the bad weather conditions which has restricted the visibility, an official said here on Wednesday.

A Tehran-Mashhad flight also returned to where it took off due to obscured vision, Hassan Jafari, an official at Mashhad Shahid Hashemi Nejad International Airport told IRNA.

The official added that all flights to or from Mashhad International Airport will be done with delay until the weather improves.

Mashhad Shahid Hashemi Nejad International Airport in this northeastern Iranian province of Khorasan Razavi has averagely recorded 180 flights every day, and is the second busiest airport in the country after Mehrabad in Tehran.
