‘Retouch’ receives Jury Prize at Tous Courts

Iranian short film ‘Retouch’, directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, won the Jury Prize at the 35th Tous Courts Film Festival in France.

Tous Courts Film Festival, the 35th edition of which was held in Aix-en-Provence on November 27 to December 2, 2017, is together with Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, one of most prestigious short film festivals in France, which screens the most outstanding short films from around the world annually, festivaltouscourts.com wrote.

Mazaheri’s cinematic production vied at the 35th edition of the festival with 50 other short films from around the globe.

Produced by the Iranian Young Cinema Society, 'Retouch' is about a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes while she cannot do anything but to witness this tragic scene.

One of the most interesting aspects of this festival is its prizes. The prize given to Kaveh Mazaheri's short film consists of three parts. The first part is a cash prize of 1500 euros. The second part includes filmmaking equipment such as walkie-talkie and HF microphone, worth 1500 euros. The third part is a 900-euro fund to buy equipment (such as a crane, tracking dolly system and rails) for making a film in Marseille.
