“We express our deep sorrow over the tragic aftermath of the earthquake that struck Iran and Iraq on the evening of November 12,” Hellenic Republic Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Tuesday, IRNA reported.
“In these difficult hours, we address our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the undivided support and solidarity of the Greek government and the Greek people to the friendly peoples and governments of Iran and Iraq,” the statement read.
A 7.3-magnitude earthquake shook the western province of Kermanshah and the regions bordering Iraq on Sunday night.
So far, death toll from the quake has hit 432 with the number of injured being 9,388.
