Iran and Sri Lanka on Sunday reached an agreement on extradition of convicts between the two countries.
The deal was signed by Iran's Justice Minister Alireza Avaei and Sri Lankan Ambassador to Tehran Anis Zaidi, IRNA reported.
Avaei said that there is a great potential in development of relations between Tehran and Colombo and the two nations should use all capacities to boost their ties.
He also expressed hope the two countries would enhance their judiciary ties.
The Sri Lankan ambassador said that president of the South Asian country will visit Iran soon, stressing that the visit will pave the way for strengthening relations between the two nations.
