The meeting was also attended by Iran's Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei, IRNA reported.
“The Syrian crisis is ending now and the people of Syria have resisted and paid heavy costs but they have finally achieved good results and now the future of Syria is promising,” Larijani said.
He added that now it is the time to think about a lasting peace and normalization of diplomatic ties of Syria with the rest of the world.
Condemning the role played by the Zionist regime and the Saudis in creating crises in the region, Larijani underlined that although Syrian crisis is ending, all should think about permanent a fight against terrorism.
Meanwhile, the Syrian part, said that Damascus would never forget Iran's supports and hopes for continuation of these assistances.
He called Iran’s presence in the fight against terrorism as valuable and added that participation of Iran and Russia in this fight was very effective.
Sabbagh denied claims made by US President Donald Trump against Iran and the 2015 nuclear deal during his speech on October 13 and said that Trump aimed at preserving the interests of the Zionist regime.
Larijani is in Moscow at the head of a parliamentary delegation to attend the 137th meeting of IPU in Saint Petersburg, which kicked off on Saturday evening in the presence of delegations from 171 countries.
