Iran, Oman discuss military cooperation

Iranian and Omani Army commanders on Wednesday explored ways of enhancing military relations between the two countries.

The Commander of Oman's Air Force, Air Vice-Marshal Matar bin Ali Al Obaidani, who is heading a high-ranking delegation in his visit to the Iranian capital, met with the second-in-command of the Iranian Army Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan, IRNA reported.

During the official meeting, the two sides discussed the enhancement of military ties and bilateral cooperation.

The Omani delegation is visiting Iran upon an invitation by the latter's Army air force commander.

The delegation is scheduled to talk with senior commanders of Iran's armed forces, including the Army Air Force commander, the minister of defense, and the armed forces deputy chief of staff for international affairs.
