Best US Accolade given to Iran's 'Release from Heaven'

Iranian animation 'Release from Heaven', by Ali Noori-Oskouei, grabbed the best film award at the 14th Accolade Global Film Competition in the US.

Set in a war torn country, the animation narrates the story of a female writer and teacher, Sareh, who has to accompany two of her students on a life changing mission find their fathers, cinemapress.ir wrote.

'Release from Heaven' is a mixture of fantasy and reality in which the teacher tries to tell stories for her students to encourage them, but she finds out that the heroes of her stories are real.

The flick also received the Animation that Matters Award at the 3rd Animation Day in Cannes (ADIC).

The Accolade Global Film Competition is unique in the industry. It attracts both powerhouse companies and talented new filmmakers in an exceptional, truly international awards competition, and not a traditional film festival, allowing filmmakers from around the world to enter their films in this prestigious competition.
