Iranian makes it to Lhotse

Iranian mountaineer Azim Qeychisaz conquered the Lhotse peak in Himalayas as his name goes down in the list of eight thousanders club of the sport.

On Friday, Qeychisaz who left Iran on April 9 to start his journey succeeded to climb the 8516m peak without the help of an oxygen capsule. He also had recently made it to the Mount Everest.

Prior to this magnificent achievement, the Iranian had the record of conquering 13 over 8000m peaks and the latest achievement means his name goes  in the history of the sport as one of the few climbers who have conquered all 8000m higher peaks in the world. Only 34 climbers had accomplished the mission and made it into the list. Italian Reinhold Messner was the very first mountaineer to climb all 14 peaks back in mid-80’s.

Lhotse is the fourth highest mountain in the world at 8,516 meters, after Mount Everest, K2, and Kangchenjunga.
