The description of the movie published on TAC official website reads: "Tajikistan's biggest annual celebration is the spring festival of Norouz, literally 'New Day'. Norouz marks the beginning of the Persian New Year, which starts at the spring equinox … For the Tajiks, Norouz represents a festival of friendship and renewal of all living beings."
It added, "One tradition that has survived in Tajikistan is the gathering of wildflowers by children in the villages. They … walk around the village, knock on people's doors and present them with a flower."
Archeology Channel International Film and Video Festival was held in Eugene, Oregon in the US from May 4 to 7.
Norouz is the Iranian New Year celebration that begins on the first day of spring. It is observed in Iran, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and several other countries.
The DEFC is the main center for production, distribution and promotion of documentary, animated and experimental pictures in the Middle East. It is also actively involved in documentary co-production projects with international producers and TV channels.
