Iranian animation bags two awards at Tehran festival

Iranian animation series 'Rubie and Chickens', directed by Babak and Behnoud Nekouei, won the best international award and the best award for TV production at the 10th Tehran International Animation Festival.

One episode of the animated piece, titled 'Khoroos Khoon', was screened in this edition of the festival, Mehr News Agency reported.

The animation competed with 18 other works which took part in the festival's international section.

The animation is about conflicts between a fox and rooster living close to one another. The fox cannot tolerate the rooster's being an early bird and thus tries to harm the rooster.

The 10th edition of the festival opened on March 5 and wrapped up on March 9.
