Venezuelan film festival awards Iranian films

The February 2017 edition of the Festival Internacional de Cine On-Line de los 5 Continentes in Venezuela awarded seven Iranian films.

Iranian director Amir Lashkari’s ‘Label’ received the festival's best experimental film award, while Ehsan Kaffash received a special mention of best cinematography for his cooperation in the flick.

A special mention of the best experimental film went to ‘Paper Boat’, directed by Elham Abbaszadeh.

The award for best super short was presented to ‘Crazy Essay’, directed by Saeed Zare-Soheili. Meanwhile, Siamak Ahmadi’s ‘Mr. A’ won special mention for the best animated movie.

Actor Pouyan Yahyapour and actress Maryam Masoudi won best actor and actress awards, respectively, for their roles in Komeil Rouhani’s ‘Without Eve’.

Nima Taqavizadeh received special mention for best sound for performing the sound edition of Rouhani’s film.

Asma Sadeqi won the best child actor award for her appearance in ‘Confined Space’, directed by Siamak Ahmadi.

Morteza Sabzeqaba, director and writer of ‘From Us’, received special mention for the festival's best screenplay category.

Festival Internacional de Cine On-Line de los 5 Continentes is a monthly film festival held in Puerto la Cruz, Venezuela.
